The overall objective of  the MOBI-KIDS project aims to assess the potential associations between use of communication devices and other environmental risk factors and brain tumours.
In order to achieve this objective, MOBI-KIDS has the following operational objectives:

  • To conduct a multinational epidemiological case-control study of brain tumours diagnosed in young people in relation to communication technologies

and environmental risk factors in 12 countries
  • To analyse the relation between different possible risk factors of brain tumours in the general environment of young people

Therefore, over a study period of five years, nearly 2000 young people between 10 to 24 years with brain tumours and a similar number of young people without a brain tumour will be invited to participate in the study.
